Can you just put your list of files in an XML file and present that to the user? You can map the file references to wherever you want and provide good descriptions rather than just file names.

If you just want the names, you could probably generate the XML index with Ant or some other scripting language.

I have an app that takes an xml file and displays it in a certain way.
The user needs to be able to choose from a range of XML files, and i thought filereference would let me use a classic browse-window to reference files to be loaded and parsed. However, apparently file.name only gives the bare file name and not a path to the file.

Is there a way to get around having to hardcore a directory for this?
