I agree. Dreamhost has been good for me and mine, no more problems with them than would be normal with a hosting company, easy to use, and when I have questions about how to implement one of their many options, they've always come through for me and helped solve them (nothing that was their fault, just my inability to understand something) within 24 hours. I didn't go with them because or reviews, but because of the price, options and service.

And if you're wondering why they seem to get good reviews in a lot of places, it may be related to their policy of paying people to refer them. I'm also pretty disappointed with most of the sites that review web hosting, which are in many cases not impartial.

Thanks for letting us know of that, but just to be clear - I do recommend them because I've been using them for 4 years without any problem, not because I've read reviews of them.

I feel sorry for the problems you had, but I just wanted to add that my experience with them has been different and I'm not basing myself on other people's reviews or opinions.
