Can't be done by Flash automatically. Unsurprising, really: there are so many factors that go into describing a Flash movie's state at some particular moment, many of which may be a result of your own particular code. But in any particular case you could do it using a sharedObject to store your current state rather than PHP, though. I don't know if the movie gets an onUnload event when it's closed (probably not) so you'd have to store the data periodically.
