i think you misunderstood the suggestion. you can load the page in as xml in
flash, just like loading in any other xml. i would change your swfObject
javascript to pass in the location of the page:

//javascript
swfObj.addVariable("loc", location.href);

and then load that as xml in flash:

//actionscript
var xml:XML = new XML();
xml.load(loc)
