if its standalone application you r creating, have a look at local content updater on adobe site. it worked for me...

Are you talking about a projector application? In this case you can create a simple batch file for opening PDF-s, that contains a simple "start foo.pdf" line. Unfortunately fscommand cannot pass parameters to the executable, so you have to make batch files for each PDF, unless you use a third-party projector creator that allows more access to local files.
