I'm working on a game that loads alot of smaller swf's for it's graphics and one of the artist didn't save his graphics as .fla but only exported them to swf. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but we need to make some changes to the graphics and when I try to import them Flash throws an error: "One or more files were not imported because there were problems reading them"

This only seems to be the case with files exported using a fixed linewidth. The swf's load fine in the player and behave perfectly normal. They're all made in Flash 8 and that's what I'm using to import them aswell.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, and is there a way around it?
