I seem to recall that I had this issue a while back. Turned out that when the .as file started with a capital letter, it treated it as a class, but when it started with a lower case letter it was fine.

Are you working on a LAN? I had the same issue here, the cause was that my computer clock were different from the network computer clock. When I moved the files to my HD it worked out.
