Hello Stefan, I looked at your logs, it seems that your version is compiled from old source code, and probably with local modifications on top of upstream code.
There is a message in the logs about SFDP detection, and that message was updated in November 2024 - but your logs still have old one. So the sources are older than Nov 2024. From the logs, your chip returns id 0x7016 and this id we support, chip definition for it has a name "W25Q32JV_M", current source is here https://github.com/flashrom/flashrom/blob/main/flashchips/winbond.c#L912 I don't see in the logs probing for W25Q32JV_M , so perhaps the sources were older, before this chip definition was added. Normally flashrom prints its version in the beginning (which could tell how old the source is), but in your logs it says "flashrom unknown" (second line). This means, there could be local modification on top of upstream code.
