I am writing to report successful testing of the Winbond W25Q256JV_M
(25Q256JVEM) flash chip. I have successfully performed probe, read, erase,
write, and WP operations using an external programmer.
Testing Environment:

Programmer: CH341A (v1.6 / V1612) via ch341a_spi

Host System: Linux 6.8.0-90-generic (x86_64)

Target Hardware: Acer Chromebox CXI5 (Board: MOLI / BRASK)

Chip Package: WSON-8 (8x6mm) via adapter
Operations Tested:

PROBE: OK (Identified as W25Q256JV_M)

READ: OK (Full 32MB read verified with multiple identical hashes)

WP-STATUS: OK (Correctly identified hardware mode and active 8MB protection
range)

WP-DISABLE: OK (Successfully changed protection mode to 'disabled')
-
WP-RANGE: OK (Successfully cleared protection range to 'none')
-
ERASE/WRITE: OK (Successful full-chip write and verification after clearing WP)
