In looking at the maven debug output, I think I see that the mojo plugin is seeing that it should add both 10-3.2.0.3958 player (last debug line) AND the older 9.x player.
I noticed then later that the globalplayer is copied to target/classes/ libraries during the build process, and referenced by the flex compiler. So I checked the globalplayer.swc in target/classes/ libraries, and indeed it is the 9.x one. It's unclear to me how to proceed...
