John,

Just to clarify, you've got a flex application and a java application, that you
want to package together into a war?

You want an example of a pom file that would package both of these into a war?

Mike,

Thanks, I'll do some more reading up on Maven and try to put your suggestions
into practice. Any chance you have an example that you are willing to share? ;-)

Thanks a bunch for your answer!

You could create a 4th pom to perform the packaging of the three artifacts.

Include these artifacts in the pom, then
tie the packaging phase to a plugin goal.

The maven jar plugin (or the maven war plugin) have some options but they may
not handle SWF files and I don't recall if flexmojos will package into a war.

The maven assembly plugin will work for sure, check out examples on the Maven
site.

Subject: [flex-mojos] New to Flexmojos and Maven

Hello everyone,

I'm new to Maven and Flexmojos. I'm currently reading a book on Maven but I
still have some questions regarding flexmojos and maven.

I used to the maven archetype: graniteds-tide-spring-jpa-hibernate: Flex 4 +
Spring 3 + Hibernate/JPA + GraniteDS with Tide API, I can get everything to
compile and create the war file, however, I now want to break my flex project
into modules as well as use an HTML wrapper.

My issue is that I'm just not familiar enough with Maven and Flexmojos to
update the correct pom.xml as there are three pom.xml files. One for the Flex
project, one for the Java source, and one for the overall application. I've
managed to get the modules compiled to swf but they are not being added to the
war file.

Could someone please point me to a clear and concise tutorial on how to add the
newly generated modules as well as the html wrapper to the war file?

Thanks,
John
