In a sense, all of you are right. I'm trying to create a new mxml file on the server itself, the contents of which I'm uploading dynamically. Then compile it to swf and use it normally. I'm going to use this api I stumbled across : http://blogs.adobe.com/flexdoc/2008/01/compiler_api.html My thinking is I'll use the java file handling mechanisms to create the mxml file. I did try creating a very simple mxml file through notepad to see if mxml files can be created without flex builder and it worked no problem. Hope my little experiment works out properly.
