I'm afraid the chapter that appeared on theserverside was a "sneak" that the publisher agreed to us releasing around the launch of Flex .... the sample website and code will appear to coincide with the book release. But we really wanted to get something out to the development community that were thirsty to put Flex through it's enterprise paces, until the book hit the shelves. We're quite literally finishing the last 2 chapters of the book this week, and it'll go through the rapid process of production -- you guys should see it on shelves towards the end of next month. Alistair and I will announce with much fanfare when the source code is available for download; we *may* get the sample applications up online at richinternetapps.com and post a few teasers there as well, between completion and publication. It's a fine line between releasing information to the community, and keeping the publishers happy. I'm glad the chapter has been helpful -- and Alistair and I would both be more than happy to discuss details of the chapter subject matter here on Flexcoders. You guys got a look at a chapter before it had it's final-final edit, so our eagle-eyed-data-binding-mad-tech-editor has already picked up a few typos and gotchas that will be cleaned from the print version. Kindest Regards, Steven PS. If you're unhappy about the book release date, blame that Flex development team for releasing ever more feature into 1.0 ;-) It has been a true challenge keeping the book within our 800 page limit.... -- Steven Webster Technical Director iteration::two Joint-Author of "Developing Rich Clients with Macromedia Flex" Available June 2004 from Macromedia Press
