Hi Yukari, ok, my setup is as follows:
- German Win XP prof. SP 1 - Mozilla 1.4.1 with Flash Player 7.0.14.112 Debug - Internet Explorer IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633 with Flash ActiveX 7.0.19.0 Debug Symptoms: - Both browsers display Umlauts correctly if they are placed in the MXML file directly. - Both browsers do NOT display Umlauts correctly if they are placed in an external AS file that is included by the MXML file. The same is true btw for other "compund" characters like �, � etc. They all get displayed correctly when they are placed in the MXML file, but fail to do so if they are places in the AS file.
