to the server directly and have the work done there and not 
use _javascript_?

If someValue is very long, what problem you are facing? Can

I've tried this solution but my variable someValue is too 
long.
I can't call ma _javascript_ function.

Hi David,
 
The only thing you need is to 
use the getURL method. You can use it to communicate with a _javascript_ function 
back on your JSP page... like so:
 
getURL( 
"_javascript_:someJSFunction( 'someValue' )", "_top" );

Hi 
everybody!
 
I need your help 
concerning communication between Flex and a .jsp.
I 've intregrated a 
mxml file into a jsp file. I'm able to get a value through a FlashVar as the 
Flex doc defines it.
 
<mm:flashvar   name="myVar"    value="<%=myVar%>" 
/>
 
My problem is to 
transmit a variable back to my jsp.file
 
What do I have to do 
?
Do the tag 
<mx:Form><:mx:Form> and the getURL allow 
this?
Is there any other 
method?
 
The aim of this 
action is to transmit the values of my Tree to the jsp in order to copy those 
values into a Excel, Word, NotePad... file.
