About half way through this page, they talk about what to do when you need to work around the limitation of startDrag only working on one thing at a time. - earlier post in this group from Doug McCune about this topic http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/flexcoders/message/126160 I think they are both similar approaches, but haven't really read them in a while.
