I did originally have problems (flex 1.0) but things were okay in 
flex 1.5 (I think ........but i'm gonna try those tests again, 
properly).

But there's definately no problems with returning datasets with 
flashorb remoting it works great.

with regards to sending single records back, i dont use datasets but 
an xml string, but  i'm gonna try ASObject. thanks
