Hi Luke,
I couldn't find any solution to this, but found a workaround.
Just filter the underlying ArrayCollection, set it as source for the
grouping collection and refresh the collection.
ac.filterFunction = theFilterFunc;
gc.source = ac;
gc.refresh();
adg.expandAll();
This works for me.
