Wouldn't you still be able to build your own IDE using the free SDK? As I understand it a lot of people do this now to avoid having to buy FB, and I imagine Linux users would be relatively common within that group.

If sales for a linux version of FB are too low to justify the ongoing cost of development, you can hardly blame Adobe for that. Their support for *nix is better than most.
