It depends on what you are using as your back end server (PHP, .NET, Java etc) and whether you want to use Remote Objects, XML, JSON etc.
How much have you learned so far? Have you been through the getting started material? Have you completed the "Learn Flex in a Week" video training course? All of these will get you started. HTH.
