What I have found is about 50% of the time when the mouse leaves the stage mouse "move" events will continue to fire, in that situation a mouse "up" will also fire when the button is eventually released. The other 50% of the time the mouse "move" events stop the moment you leave the stage and in that situation there will be no mouse "up" or mouse "leave". (this is then a real problem as you can release the mouse and move back on stage and it is still dragging) I just can't get anything to reliably work under IE8/FP10 to stop dragging after the mouse leave the stage. Anyone have a combination they KNOW works?
