There is a library, AlivePDF, which provides a lot of PDF functionality to Flex. I used it to generate and save a PDF version of a Flex screen (in AIR). It was a manual and frustrating process, but it did work in the end.
More native support for PDF would be huge. Unfortunately, PDF support is not baked into Flex.
