It’s an unusual situation…I’m trying to prevent an item from being dropped outside a set of folders (in the root)…so I have completed the logic to detect if this happens…and if so, I can stop the item from being added…but it’s still being removed from the original component via my doDragComplete()…

Typically we do not manipulate either the source or target until the
dragDrop event happens over a valid target.

When in the drag operation are you wanting to cancel?

How do you cancel a drag 'n drop operation so they object is dragging is
not placed anywhere...and the original is not removed from the source
component?

Thanks!
