What version of flex?

If you’re extending the flex framework – you should be able to “skin” it by substituting your own images – via the props:

selectedDisabledIcon="No default."
    selectedDisabled="buttonSkin"
    selectedDownIcon="No default."
    selectedDown="buttonSkin"
    selectedOverIcon="No default."
    selectedOver="buttonSkin"
    selectedUpIcon="No default."

You’ll need to embed your images and reference them.

There is an “ImageButton” in the Flex\extras install folder, perhaps that will help.
