Yeah, it's between 10 to 13 mins.
I have writtent the transcription of the part of interview which talks about Flex/Flash/FlexBuilder/ActionScript. I am not very good in language and not good at understanding foreign accents, I would have surely made some mistakes... But i hope, its fine as long as you guys don't mind it :)
<only a part of interview>
Bruce Eckel: On the the other hand, I have been experimenting with Flash, this Flex 2, that is still in Beta right now. But I have been developing with it and for Graphical User Interface stuff, boy, and also Rich client stuff. I think, that is, may be, gonna be the thing that takes over from applets, AJAX and everything because Flash, you know, such a nice experience for people. That's what I have been looking at. And, you know, it runs across the platform without you having to worry about. You know, when you dealing with _javascript_, and the reason I abandoned the language was because I just don't wanna have to say, what browser might working under, what platform might running on, whatever it is, and then write my code differently for each case. That's just ludicrous? I don't wanna spend my time that ways. So, one of the cool things about Flex, you can write, I mean it's got classes and all the stuff and components and everything. The new Flex 2, you can actually, they built, this was very clever they built on top of Eclipse, so their tool is built on top of Eclipse and for the graphical-user-interfaces you can actually do the dragging-dropping of the flash components and then write the program underneath. I have been pretty happy with..And I think, by the time they actually release it they will have improved it even more..
Interviewer: Excellent, Excellent, Flash is pretty incredible, just platform in general, its like the mega applet..with distribution (???)
Bruce Eckel: Exactly.
Interviewer: Are there any other dynamic languages that catch your eye right now, if so why?
In answer to this question, he mentioned that he is learning ActionScript 3 and MXML apart from other languages.
