Actually I do this, I have several models, each model
contains data that is logically group. This is left up to every developer to
decide... eventually one model with hundreds of variables on it is not a good
idea :)

Why wouldn't you just have
modelLocator.someDecriptiveNameForFirstSubApp
and
modelLocator.someDecriptiveNameForSecondSubApp
and so ?
