Should I really be painting onto the graphics object outside of updateDisplayList?
Seems a rather dirty way to do it, but it might work. I'd have to start the timer in updateDisplayList, and have it render the first x points, and then set the timer for the next x points , etc. And reset the whole thing up updateDisplayList gets called again. I'll play around with it if I can't come up with anything better before I need to fix it! -----Original Message----- From: flexcoders@yahoogroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ralf Bokelberg Sent: 26 July 2006 09:47 To: flexcoders@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [flexcoders] Equiv of DoEvents, to allow painting? Hi Daniel, you could use a Timer for that. updateDisplayList sets up the timer and returns. The timer's eventhandler does the drawing. Cheers, Ralf.
