Sorry for ridding this
thread, but can you disable the re-validation of the cells, when they come from
a non-viewable state to a viewable state?
Can you define that the data
grid will always render its whole content, like a spread sheet?
(thnx)

don't think it's a bug...
I've changed the component a little and more is showing and the scroll bars are
no longer showing... it's NOT fully fixed though... it's something to do with
sizing... maybe set the text to multiline or something
<mx:VBox verticalScrollPolicy="off"
horizontalScrollPolicy="off" width="100%"
height="100%">
<mx:Text selectable="false" width="100%" height="100%"
text="{ data.description}" fontWeight="bold"/>
<mx:Text htmlText="{data.detail}" width="100%"
height="100%"/>
</mx:VBox>

What is going on there?

ItemRenderer
I would like to put in a
datagrid:
- A header title
- Some HTML formatted text bullets
- Use variableRowHeight since some entries are a lot taller than
others.
This doesn't sound that hard, but I'm having a devil of a time
getting this to display properly! When you scroll down and back up, some of the
rows collapse entirely, others sprout scroll bars, the scroll thumb keeps
changing size, etc.
Is it just a bad idea to try to put HTML formatted code in a data
grid? Or is variableRowHeight just buggy? Or am I missing something?
Here's some sample code that illustrates the problem. I'm very
grateful for any ideas!
