Also I did some stuff on SabreAMF another project: http://renaun.com/blog/2006/09/01/93/ As far as WebORB, they have a good foundation and solid package. There is an issue with the services-config.xml and how I use RemoteObjects but hopefully that will be worked out. It has to do with the RemoteObject "source" attribute and using a ColdFusionAdapter styled destination configuration where you set the source attribute in the config file to "*".
