first i'd like 2 say that i am flash dsigner and i am new in flex so .....

i have worked with 'Quick Start Tutorials' in flex help but
i'd like 2 ask about more recoures in learning flex 2, flex data services
and do i have to learn java to be able to build flex application or i can work with action script(2,3) and interacting with databases or anything else an be done with flex ??
