[flexcoders] iconField working correctly?

Hello,   Are there any known issues with using the “iconField” property with Trees?   I’m trying to use it to put custom icons in each row.  I’m doing this EXACTLY as suggested in the dox, but I NEVER get my custom icons.     Does it work when you have only SOME rows that specify the icon property?
