Try something like this:
public function mostra():void {
trace(xmlMenu.length());
trace(xmlMenu.categoria.length());
trace([EMAIL PROTECTED]);for each (var property:XML in xmlMenu.categoria) {
var q:String = [EMAIL PROTECTED];
trace (q);
}
}
Note that you do not need the 'itens' prefix and that length is amethod not a property of the XML object.
