You're right. In Tomcat you must to install JOTM and use a file "context.xml" in your web application. You can see the test drive example from Christophe Coenraets to see an example. I never try in Sun App server, but I suppose that would be very similar...

I'm using flex dataservice deployed in a Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 9.0_01 (build b14)...but when I try to modify some record of my dataservice application I give the "Unable to access UserTransaction in DataService" error!!! I think this error occours because my appl server hasn't a transaction manager, isn't it? As transaction manager It has to be used something like jotm...but unfortunately I didn't found any documentation about how integrate it on my application server.
