I had a working XAMPP 1.6.1 installation on my Win XP SP2 machine. After installing Flex Data Services (Express) I was no longer able to start Apache and to access http://localhost. So I uninstalled FDS but that didn't help. Then I uninstalled and installed XAMPP from scratch but the problem remained. If I try to start Apache from the XAMPP control panel it says "Busy... Apache started" but nothing happens.
I suspect that there is some information left from the FDS installation that blocks Apache. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Stefan
