AIR is Adobe's Integrated Runtime. It was previously named Apollo.
AIR is a way to deploy Flex (or HTML) applications to the desktop
instead of the browser. It includes some additional APIs for desktop
access and to tell whether or not you're connected.

For more info go to labs.adobe.com and/ or onAir.adobe.com for more info.

If you Google Adobe AIR you should fine more even more info. (
Unfortunately, Googling AIR doesn't find much about Adobe's new thing )
