If you're using Moxie, the next beta will have a performance profiler.
In 2.x, you can listen to LayoutManager for "updateComplete" events and see how many you get and how far apart they are. If you get a lot of them, then something in your app is constantly invalidating the UI and you have to figure out what and where. If you get only a few, maybe you are receiving a huge chunk of data from the server that needs processing/conversion. ________________________________ From: flexcoders@yahoogroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of yevgeniy.galper Sent: Wednesday, September 12, 2007 1:08 PM To: flexcoders@yahoogroups.com Subject: [flexcoders] Re: Very slow initial load and an excessive CPU usage during startup I did search for creationPolicy="all" in all files, but I did not find anything, so I believe creationPolicy is not set to "all". How would I go about timing the initialization functionality?
