Previously, I tried:
LPA_TimeRecord.dataProvider.dispatchEvent(new
CollectionEvent(mx.events.CollectionEvent.COLLECTION_CHANGE));
, which didn't work.

But who is supposed to listen and respond to it?  Will the datagrid
automatically listen and redraw?
