I am having trouble setting up BlazeDS as a web service proxy. I have a few
assumptions
that perhaps you can help me clarify.

First, all the examples I find have the BlazeDS running locally, but I am
assuming that I
can develop Flex on my mac laptop, while BlazeDS is on a remote server. Is this
accurate?

Next, I am new to Java applications, so I am not yet sure what the file
structures should be
for "root folder," "root url," and "context root." I opened an account at eApps
and they've
installed BlazeDS, saying it was like most Java apps, but their understanding
of "root
folder," "root url," and "context root" generates an error:

Invalid root. The WEB-INF/flex folder must contain either flex-config.xml or
services-
config.xml.

I've written back and forth with them, sending them samples, but so far we have
been
unsuccessful at filling these three items without an error.

Third, I am assuming that once I have this set up, with the destinations
configured in the
proxy-config.xml file, that I really don't need to know much more about
BlazeDS. It will
relay the data without my constant intervention. Is this a correct assumption?

Any help would be appreciated.

Robert
