the downloaded properly installed a 2.0.0.8 into my Flex-3000 subfolder
also.
the downloader/installer put a copy in to both Flex subdirectories.
but it's voodoo, so I guess crazy things happen to other instead of me for a
change.
I'm sure Tim and the mover/shakers will help you better than I can.

for the 3000 is the wrong version but the file in the 5000 folder is

I'll wait for others with 5000s and 3000s to report about their
success or failure. In the meantime, I hope Tim, et. al. will check the
file in the 3000 folder to determine why it is loading version 2.0.0.5.

The downloader installs the firmware in a file on your C:\Documents and
Settings\'ur
name'\Flex Firmware and then you must choose Flex3000 or
Flex5000
So make sure your really installing the correct file
