FYI, on the power cord we are using cords with the stripe which we assigned
to positive. But we knew that a clearer indication of a red band would help
most hams figure this out without a manual so we were doing that in
manufacturing. We realized that a mistake in manufacturing (putting the red
band on the wrong lead) would lead to a problem in the field and so we
decided to put a label on the cord that reads "White stripe is +12v" or
something similar in lieu of the band. I'm not sure this has been
implemented yet, but this seemed to stand no chance error. I'll send a note
to Joe that the doc needs to be changed also.
