PowerSDR beta 2.0.6, Flex 3000 My portable station is the flex 3000 with an SGC SG-231 automatic tuner. I have been surprised that the tuner tunes to an SWR greater than 2:1. So I plugged in my trusty Elecraft W1 wattmeter and compared. On the bands where the flex 3000 shows less than 2:1 SWR, the flex wattmeter and the W1 agree. On the bands where the F3K shows an SWR of greater than 2:1 when the tuner finishes tuning, the wattmeters disagree, with the W1 consistently showing an SWR below 2:1 (which is what I would expect with this tuner). Is it possible that there is a calibration issue with the F3K's wattmeter on some frequencies?
FWIW, there is no cable between F3K and W1. I am using a M/M BNC adaptor so both should be seeing very close to the same magnitude and phase between V and I. -- Brian Lloyd, WB6RQN/J79BPL 3191 Western Dr. Cameron Park, CA 95682 [email protected] +1.767.617.1365 (Dominica) +1.931.492.6776 (USA) (+1.931.4.WB6RQN) _______________________________________________ Flexedge mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexedge_flex-radio.biz This is the FlexRadio Systems e-mail Reflector called FlexEdge.
