I have this same delay with HRD DM780 and my 5K. I took DDUtil out of the
'circuit', to see if it was causing it. It wasn't. Same 5 second delay to
transmit, and 2 second delay ending transmit.
It's not just buffering, either: the first 5 seconds are being clipped. The
RSID warble is not being transmitted, even though the option is set.

Subject: [FlexEdge] Flex 1500 and PSDR beta 2.0.8 TX delay

Don't know if this is new or not as I have just set up my Flex 1500 for TX
for the first time. When using fldigi through VAC and VSPmgr there is about
a 5 second delay after keying fldigi and output coming out of the F1.5k.
There is about a 2 second unkeying delay. Switching to SSB and using the
mic, TR switching is virtually instantaneous.

I ran the test again (also PSDR 2.0.8) using my F5K. No delay. Same fldigi,
VAC, and VSMmgr setup.

BTW, I use a separate com port pair through VSPmgr for PTT (keying DTR).

This is a fresh install with separate databases.
