Hi Nige, and others who sent Email direct, Problem is solved now.
The problem was "Split RF" after chosing Split RF and swapping the two RF cables, TX and RX is ok, and have managed to worke some DL's this night with range up to 1400km+ so thats a nice start :-) Have allso updated to ver. 2.0.8 and can se that RX gain in XVTR is stil not working :-( So thanks all for the Email's 73's Jan, OY3JE -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Nige Sent: 11. oktober 2010 17:49 To: [email protected] Subject: [FlexEdge] XVTR setup Hi Jan. Since RX is working fine then we can assume it is a TR-1296-28? Firstly, the Kuhnes can be configured for single RTX or separate TX / RX paths. Since RX is working obviously the cable patching is correct. You need to identify whether the transverter is set for single or separate and internally adjust as necessary (the Flex will do either so it is a matter of preference). Also suggest checking the "Use XVTR PWR for Tune" at the bottom of the dialog. Presuming you go with separate paths, the "Split RF" checkbox in XVTR needs to be checked and I initially recommend setting the power level to 10 until you determine the drive which is needed. Also the Kuhnes have internal adjustment for the drive level range, allowing for two different orders of drive magnitude. Make sure you have the right one set. When you are sure all these are correct, try a tune and see if there is any output. Make sure the front panel power control is set to maximum (if you had that option installed). If you are in any doubt about the Flex, you can always couple the XVTR output BNC to a load or small whip and check for 28 MHz output on another receiver. Hope this helps. Nige.
