Hi have seen this twice, once with my own rig and once with a customer. When you start PSDR2.0.16 up the first time from a previous 1.18.6 environment, it thinks the 3000 is a 5000 and loads the wrong firmware. Then when the 3000 cycles power, its blue light does not come on and the fans power up. PowerSDR 'sees' a 5000 (because of the firmware) and when you start the gain calibration is waaaay off.
You cannot reload the 3000 firmware from flexdriver as it thinks its a 5000 so you have to manually reload the old 1.x firmware then manually run the firmware uploader in the 8181 flex driver. Then everything is okay but I tell you it is a scary thing when the blue power light doesn't come on!
