I have a 1500 and have noticed a loud hum on RX when listening to a 6 FM
signal.
It did not concern me too much as I awaited the CTCSS feature in the new
release
so I could use it on my 6M repeater with a 127.3 tone, input at 52.31.
Well with the new version I can get in to the repeater fine with great audio
unfortunately the hum is still very bad when listening on 6M. (only on
the flex Rx)
A friend N3ELI down the road has the same thing on a 1500 and a 3000.
The hum is loud enough you can barely hear the audio, Don even tried all
battery power-no help.
Pre amp settings seemed to have some effect on Don's end but not here.
Tx audio is great Rx audio awful.
