Some time ago, someone gave a reference on how to interface the David Clark
headset to the F5K. Could someone please send the reference to me.

I think that both William Fite and I have posted separately on this topic. The
interface is pretty easy and involves nothing more than a 100 ohm resistor from
the +5V pin to the Mic+ pin to provide bias for the mic in the David Clark
headset (or any other aviation headset). The pinout for the mic plug on the
headset is:

Tip: PTT
Ring: Mic+
Sleeve: Mic-/ground

Outfits like Pacific Coast Avionics, Chief Aircraft, etc., can provide the
.211" TRS jack used by aircraft mic plugs. I found one designed for in-line
wiring so I made an adaptor cable from the .211" in-line jack to the 8-pin mic
connector on the front of the 5000. The ones below are standard panel-mount
jacks so you would need to put one in some kind of a box.
