Bob, The newer netbooks with the 455 processors can, but with careful tuning, they only hit 319 on the PassMark benchmarks, well below the recommended 500 .. Do not expect high speed CW.. The biggest issue is the most netbooks, is that the display will only go to 1024 x 600, PowerSDR needs a minim of 1024 x 768 resolution, unless you have the ability to scroll the display.. Some netbooks do have the window scrolling available, but not all..
Step up to a larger display and faster processor for about $100. You will be much happier.. Of course you can operate the Flex via remote, using VNC variant and Skype or some other audio transport. 73, Dudley WA5QPZ FlexRadio Systems (512) 250-8595, Option 2 Email: [email protected] <[email protected]> Web: www.flexradio.com <http://www.flex-radio.com> On Tue, Jun 14, 2011 at 3:29 PM, Bob <[email protected]> wrote: > Has anyone interfaced a FLEX-1500 and power SDR with a netbook?
