I was sure that the Mic Boost (Setup|Audio|Primary|Mic Boost On) only boosted
the front panel (unbalanced) microphone input, and not the rear balanced input.
I have a headset-boom mic plugged in the front panel, and a PR-781 in the
rear balanced input. When I enabled Mic Boost, I found that both inputs are
now boosted. I had to lower the mic gain slider (Front panel) to 26 from 46.
(I still use the Mixer sliders to differentially set the output of each mic).
Is this a recent change, or has Mic Boost always applied to the balanced input
as well as the unbalanced input?
