Hello,

I cannot say for sure, but I had the same issue with a Flex3000 in my truck.
It
seemed I could not figure out where it was coming from for the life of me.

I took out a WiFi card, replace several Fire-wire cards, temporary took out any
USB cards. I went into device manager and tried to turn things off, and tried
to see what was running at the same time on the same IRQ as the fire wire. It
drove me nuts!

Then I did something stupid, but for good luck of a reason! I was messing with
some wires under the seat and I had loosened a wire from my preamp that
amplifies the sound from the 3K to the truck speakers. I turned on the 3k and
discovered I had no sound. I was thinking "Great, now what"! But I noticed
the
pan adapter had settled down like normal as it should. I was like what? It
can't be? I found the wire that came off the receive amplifier and place it
back on. I had the sound to the speakers again, but there was that signal in
the pan adapter. And again it followed me as I went up and down the band.

So you see, it was the amplifier and not the 3k! By moving the 3k farther away
from the amplifier it helped take it out, but it was still there but it was
hard
to see on the pan adapter. I still need to replace the amplifier!

Search the shack by turning off everything and use a tempoary 12 volt battery
to
run the flex until you find the issue. At lease I hope you will find the issue
this way!

Sorry for the replying by myself :-)

I viewed, that the issue always is left to the center mark of the
Panadapter.
That means, it is there even if I move qrg.
