It appears to be a failure in the Wide Band Image Rejection (WBIR) algorithm. In my case even the band-switching doesn't solve the problem after awhile. I need to stop and restart PowerSDR to recover. It has made the 1500 pretty useless for WSPR, which does automatic transmissions and band-switching. Flex is working on the problem. I hope they find the solution soon as it has caused me to shelve my 1500 until the problem is fixed.
